From the Greenspace team…. directly to our Atlanta Family

The Greenspace Team!

Don’t worry tree-huggers and greenspace lovers… Atlanta Greenspaces team is still in business. We connect Atlantans to their greenspaces.

Over the last 3+ months you’ve enjoyed the Champion Art Hunt as Atlanta Greenspaces highlighted Atlanta’s green space partnering with local street artist involved in #FAFATL (Free Art Fridays ATL). See @GreenspacesATL and #championarthunt #FAFATL for details.

In the next couple weeks, you can look forward to info regarding the Freedom Park Dog Park Rally as well as Art on the BeltLine fundraising opportunities and artist and event schedule too!

We also have info on all the local Festivals that you can’t miss… and don’t forget to buy your 2012 Music Midtown Tickets! Lineup this year can’t be missed.

Our own, Keeper of the Trees, Eli Dickerson, will surely keep you up-to-date with Champion Tree updates! A new tree was just added…
hint: White Oak, Off Roxboro Rd. in Buckhead. Atlanta City co-champion tree. It was an oasis to the busy streets of Buckhead. The giant tree was honored with the name Climber by local 7-year old tree-hugger and street artist Honestee Wallis.

Here’s what the team has been up to since the Arbor Day #championarthunt!

Locating, measuring, and naming new Atlanta Co-Champion Tree: Climber

Honestee, left, measured with the help of Tree expert, Eli Dickerson, and named the tree:  “Climber”.

Our Amazing Greenspace team finished school. Congratulations Eli and Jack!
