About Atlanta Greenspaces
Welcome to Atlanta Green Spaces!
The Atlanta Greenspaces Team started from a passion for Atlanta and greenspace. The team has spent our years in the area enjoying the parks, the trees, and the community they bring together. In 2012, we hosted an urban scavenger hunt: The Champion Art Hunt. We partnered with the local street art movement, community organizations such as Trees Atlanta and Whynatte energy drinks and we reached our community through social media sites such as Twitter and FB. Atlanta LOVED it, as did the Atlanta Greenspace team.
2013 is here and as our greenspaces are warming up, we are preparing to host the Champion Art Hunt 2013.
This year will follow the same model: follow us through twitter, @greenspaces #championarthunt #FAFATL for clues to find art hidden at the Champion Trees of Atlanta. Our followers are growing so we will also be using Instagram, @greenspaces to highlight hint photos during the event.
Details will continue to come. Watch the website, Facebook, and Twitter and we will get you to your greenspaces. And don’t forget: mark your calendars…. May 17-19 2013 for Champion Art Hunt 2013!
Get to your greenspaces ATL!

Love the site. Love the green attitude. And the sense of adventure and fun.
When I was head of the Trust for Public Land, we were buying the land for the new parks around the BeltLine. We were also trying to build this kind of awareness and a sense of caring about greenspace in Atlanta. Park Pride does a similar job but in a more structured manner that focuses on infrastructure and funding. I am glad that someone is trying to focus on the fun aspects of green awareness and “ownership”. This is a very valuable component of building an “urban greenspace ethic”. Congratulations and keep up the good work!!
Thanks Jim!
I truly look up to you and your work! You better come out for our Scavenger Hunt! April 27th weekend!
